What does blackthorn symbolize?
The blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) is a thorned shrub native to Britain and Europe, long held in Celtic, pagan, and folk tradition as a symbol of protection, resilience, and the dark beauty of the natural world. Associated with the onset of winter and the boundary between the seen and unseen, blackthorn wood was used to make traditional Irish walking sticks (shillelaghs) and is considered a plant of fierce, protective energy. This ring translates that symbolism into Art Nouveau botanical form — a wearable talisman of strength and devotion.

What is the difference between lab diamond and moissanite?
Lab diamonds are chemically and physically identical to mined diamonds — pure carbon crystal, rated 10 on the Mohs hardness scale — offering the same brilliance and durability, but ethically grown in a laboratory at a lower price point than mined stones. Moissanite is a near-colorless lab-grown silicon carbide gemstone that is slightly more brilliant than diamond (higher refractive index) and nearly as hard (9.25 Mohs). Both are set as 3mm brilliant-cut stones and are virtually indistinguishable to the naked eye. Moissanite is the more affordable option.
